HOLMDEL, NJ — Bell Works has announced that two new tenants have joined the so-called "metroburb" that was once Bell Labs, and one of them is a neighbor from 23 Main St. - the Vonage global cloud communications company.
Vonage is moving its corporate headquarters there and LT Apparel, a manufacturer of children's clothes, has leased about 13,000 square feet as of July for support staff, though not retail, a Bell Works spokesperson said.
The two companies are "the first two major tenant leases" signing up for the Campus office space, a Bell Works press release said.
For Vonage, which has already been headquartered in Holmdel, the move is a short one.
Vonage "helps businesses accelerate their digital transformation" with offices across the globe and more than 2,200 employees worldwide, the news release from Bel Works said.
"Holmdel has been our home for more than a decade, and we remain committed to this community,” said Stephen Lasher, chief financial officer for Vonage.
“Like many companies, in the past two years we have moved to a hybrid working environment. The dynamic, creative, and tech-focused space at Bell Works will allow us to continue to expand right here in New Jersey as we continue to work toward making Vonage a top company for great talent,” he said.
Vonage has offices throughout the United States, Europe, Israel and Asia and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ericsson, a Stockholm-based telecommunicati0ns and networking company, a news release from Bell Works said.
"We’re thrilled to welcome LT Apparel and Vonage, two companies that share similar values like community and connection, to our diverse lineup of tenants and know they will fit in seamlessly,” said Ralph Zucker, president of Inspired by Somerset Development, the developer behind Bell Works New Jersey.
"Campus" is a flexible workspace solution at Bell Works, the company's public relations representatives said in an email.
Essentially a business can lease space at the "metroburb" without the worry of long-term contracts. Campus is one of the many workspace options at Bell Works, which range from customized, long-term private offices to pre-furnished, “ready-to-wear” suites and coLab — Bell Works' co-working membership experience, Bell Works says.
Workspaces at Campus are fully furnished and fully wired, and offer businesses the ability to lease both small and large footprints, depending on the needs of their teams, the public relations company explained.
Zucker noted that “Companies today are seeking well-designed spaces that inspire and encourage their employees to collaborate and exchange ideas. At Bell Works, we find that people arrive with enthusiasm each day as they walk into a place teeming with life.”
LT Apparel Group is a New York-based children’s clothing company, whose portfolio includes Adidas Kids, Carhartt Kids, and French Toast. LT Apparel is a family-owned, privately held company. The company’s headquarters will remain in New York City.
“It’s important to us that we give our employees a special place to work when they come into the office to collaborate with colleagues in a dynamic environment,” said Alfred J. Sutton, vice president/supply chain operations, at LT Apparel Group. “There is nothing else in the market like Bell Works, a true one-of-a-kind destination, that fits in as well with our business and culture.”
The Campus, which opened in 2021, caters to the growing number of medium-sized businesses and enterprises in search of flexibly termed leasing solutions as their teams begin to return to the office post-pandemic, the company said in the news release.
The 72,000-square foot workspace provides the option for teams to easily return to an office environment and maintain a physical location.
Businesses at Campus have access to break-out rooms, conferencing facilities, and the retail and dining options on The Block at Bell Works.
The more public face of Bell Works is The Block, which is home to a growing roster of retailers and restaurants, all centered around a quarter-mile atrium, which has been repurposed as an enclosed pedestrian street, the company representatives said.
Visitors can stroll along the climate-controlled avenue that offers the appeal of an urban "Main Street," including a food hall, pour-over coffee bar, and various retailers. The Block also hosts the monthly pop-up Bell Works Fresh Market, where local artists, artisans and other vendors put their creations on display.
Campus’ interior design elements reflect a human-centric approach, applied to every environment at Bell Works, and feature unique, sustainable and biophilic elements, including: renewable selections, repurposed materials, LED and natural lighting and indoor plants.
Bell Works’ creative director and lead designer, Paola Zamudio from NPZ Style & Décor, and G3 Architects collaborated on the design for Bell Works’ Campus workspaces.
Jeff Garibaldi, president at The Garibaldi Group; Tara Keating, vice president at The Garibaldi Group; and Lindsey Florio, broker support analyst at The Garibaldi Group, represented Bell Works New Jersey in both transactions.
